Gameweek 7: It's Wildcard time!
Right, I stated in Tuesday’s article that I would post a poll on Twitter and ask you guys if I should use my wildcard. Here are the results :
It was tight! But, they Yes’s came out on top and we are using the wildcard. After speaking to some professional Fantasy Premier League players on Twitter they gave me loads of helpful advise including, that teams not very good you should probably start again. So in love with my new challenge and following their tips, this is the beast team I have come up with :
Right let’s review :
Everyone is hyped up on the Nick Pope train right now, 3/5 pro’s I spoke to said price/ quality he is unbeatable. I’m finding it hard to disagree, and at a price of 4.6m I am very impressed.
Issa Diop : The West Ham man is a guaranteed start if fit for the hammers, a goal threat in corners and West Ham have kept three clean sheets in a row, for a price of 4.5m another brilliant steal.
Lucas Digne : One of two players from our past team, the French left back is a must, he already has two assists and two clean sheets for Everton and seems like quite the goal threat. He cost 6.1m and that doesn’t feel like enough.
Andrew Robertson : No introduction needed right? The most expensive man of my defense costing a whopping 6.9m but their is no doub the Scot can keep those assists and clean sheets coming in.
Raheem Sterling : This is the start of the most all star team I have ever seen. The Englishman is expensive at 12.1m but has five goals this season and I expect more, superb pick if I may say so myself.
Todd Cantwell: The Norwich man is another one of those bargains at 5.0m, he has 2 goals and 2 assists for the Canaries and looks the second biggest goal threat behind Teemu Pukki.
Mo Salah: Introducing the most expensive man in this team, Mr Egypt himself, welcome Mo Salah (even though you never left). The Liverpool forward has been one of the top point scorers in the last two season and justifies his fee of 12.5m.
Kevin De Bruyne : Did I lie when I said this team is mental? It’s topped of by number one on my Top 10 Premier League players list (click on the link to read now). The Belgian demands a fee of 9.9m that doesn’t feel enough to me. He has two goals and seven assists. Seven! Absolutely worth the money.
Harry Kane : Mr Spurs starts our front line, he has 4 goals and 1 assist this season, I think they’re is now doubt he will get some points on the board this season with possibly taking down a golden boot.
Mason Greenwood: This one I wasn’t too sure about, but as EVERY SINGLE pro pointed out Rashford is injured now and so is Martial, that leaves United short on numbers up front and thus the decision to put in Mason Greenwood at the humble cost of 4.5m.
Dominic Solanke : This one is weird for me, but he is tipped to do well, he costs a modest 5.4m and has been playing more and more minutes for the Cherries who are in fine form. Okay I guess, we will see.
Lundstram has been massive for Sheffield Utd and will be a regular, just not against Liverpool, Hayden plays 90 min every game for Newcastle and has one assist so is a good rotation player to have and we put Hanley in there because he is cheap.
Expectations for the Weekend
- Lowest predicted points : 40 points
- Average predicted points : 74 points
- Maximum predicted points : 105 points
I’m really hyped about this Gameweek and expect us to do really well and make up for the bad Gameweek’s we’ve been having. I wish everyone the best of luck and have a lovely day!
